Description: CAREFREE. Accuracy is the name of the game at this course, which features natural desert areas around the fairways. The long course also has several dogleg holes, so if you can shape your tee shot, hitting the fairway may be easier. Start getting wild off these tees and you will be in for a long day. Greens are undulating and quick, so don't think the battle is over once you hit the green.

Description: SCOTTSDALE. Extremely exclusive, this course offers six different sets of tees, allowing all levels of golfers to find a comfortable challenge. Treacherous desert areas that are nearly impossible to play from line the fairways. Many of the holes are long, but if you get too aggressive and miss the fairway, you probably won't be happy; that is, if you find your ball at all.

Description: SCOTTSDALE. This Fazio course is a very fair test. With relatively wide fairways, it offers a number of good opportunities to fire at the pins if they avoid fairway bunkers. Water does come into play on occasion, so be aware of what lies ahead when on the tee. Hit these medium-sized greens in regulation, and you can have a run at the birdie.

Description: SCOTTSDALE. This unique course features two different pin locations on each green. Before the round, you not only need to decide which tees to play, but you must also decide which flags to play ­ white or gold. The white are typically towards the front of the greens while the gold are placed in more challenging locations. On several occasions, the difference between the two pins can be as much as two or more clubs.

Description: SCOTTSDALE. This championship course is the host site for the PGA Tour's Phoenix Open. As with most TPC courses, finding a prime seat to watch an event here isn't hard. As for playing the course, you should be aware of the obstacles that await. Well-placed mounds will provide some awkward lies in these fairways, and expect a number of bunkers to creep into play in the landing areas and around these greens. CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS UNTIL NOVEMBER 2007.

To score well, don't get too aggressive, but hit some good irons.
